Kaduna Assemblyman Prioritizes Clean Water, Health Center for Constituents
Nazir Sunusi Abubakar on November 1st commissioned the second phase of solar-powered boreholes at Unguwan Kanawa and Hayin Banki suburbans of Kaduna State, Nigeria.
He said he drew inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that said “there is no gift in this world greater than giving water to others”.
“Water, as it has been said, is life”, he added, thus “providing pure and clean water has become among the top priorities out of numerous far-reaching projects we’re embarking for the benefit of the people of Kawo Constituency of the Kaduna state House of Assembly”.
The water supply projects, which are of World-Bank approved standards, would go a long way to alleviate the incessant lack of portable water to the people of the area and cut down on the prevalence of water borne diseases transmitted through unhealthy sources.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna Assemblyman is reported to have turned the sod for the the construction of a health center in Unguwar Dosa, another ward that makes up his constituency.
