Productivity and Resilience Support Project Commissioned in Kaduna
The Commissioner for agriculture Murtala Dabo, has commissioned the Kaduna L-PRES new office along Yakubu Gowon Way, Kaduna.
Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) is a 6-year project supported by the World Bank through Federal Ministry of Agriculture to achieve the development objective of improving productivity, commercialization, and resilience of targeted livestock production systems in Nigeria.
The L-PRES mission is to to provide enabling environment for quality and efficient service delivery to livestock farmers and stakeholders through effective livestock policy formulation and implementation.
The project’s selected value chains are:
- Cattle
- Sheep and Goat
- Poultry
- Pig
- Micro livestock (Beekeeping)
L-PRES project will complement other projects the State is presently running in the Livestock sector such as National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) and its model Ranching in Ladduga Kachia LGA
